About

Since its founding in 1974, Britt Rice Construction—better known as Britt Rice Electric—has proudly served the Bryan–College Station region and beyond. What began as a small electrical contracting firm has grown into one of Texas’s leading providers of commercial, healthcare, and institutional electrical, low-voltage, and design-build services. Its consistent growth over the past five decades reflects the dedication of a skilled workforce, loyal clients, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Company Overview

company history

At the core of the company’s success is the vision of founder and CEO, Britt Rice. A Texas A&M University graduate, Britt established a business rooted in professionalism, quality craftsmanship, and community service. Recognizing the need for a strong talent pipeline, he launched a federally approved, on-site apprenticeship program in the early 1990s—an initiative that continues to produce highly trained electricians today.

Supporting Britt’s vision is President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Blanton, who joined the company in 1993. Also an Aggie, Jeff started as an electrician and steadily advanced through roles in estimating, project management, and operations. His deep industry knowledge and commitment to innovation have helped drive the company’s expansion and modernization.

In 2025, the company entered a new era by becoming 100% employee-owned through the establishment of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This transition underscores a long-standing belief: the people behind the projects are the company’s greatest asset. Now, they’re not just contributors—they’re owners.

While our services include electrical, data, and fire alarm systems, what truly distinguishes us is our people. Our team members are united by a shared dedication to quality, innovation, and mutual success. At Britt Rice, we’re not just completing jobs—we’re building a legacy of trust, collaboration, and ownership.

As we celebrate more than 50 years in business, we remain proud of the exceptional service we provide—and even prouder of the team that makes it all possible. Here’s to continuing that legacy for the next 50 years and beyond.
